The Quran informs us that the sexual relations between a husband and a wife are to be kept private.

[2:187] Permitted for you is sexual intercourse with your wives during the nights of fasting. They are the keepers of your secrets, and you are the keepers of their secrets. GOD knew that you used to betray your souls, and He has redeemed you, and has pardoned you. Henceforth, you may have intercourse with them, seeking what GOD has permitted for you. You may eat and drink until the white thread of light becomes distinguishable from the dark thread of night at dawn. Then, you shall fast until sunset. Sexual intercourse is prohibited if you decide to retreat to the masjid (during the last ten days of Ramadan). These are GOD’s laws; you shall not transgress them. GOD thus clarifies His revelations for the people, that they may attain salvation.

The Quran also informs us that it is prohibited for husbands to have sexual intercourse with their wives while they are menstruating.

[2:222] They ask you about menstruation: say, “It is harmful; you shall avoid sexual intercourse with the women during menstruation; do not approach them until they are rid of it. Once they are rid of it, you may have intercourse with them in the manner designed by GOD. GOD loves the repenters, and He loves those who are clean.”

Yet, according to Hadith the claim that the prophet would have sex with his wives during their menstruation.

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to have intercourse with me. While in Itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

Often, translators of this Hadith will try to obfuscate this statement by erroneously translating the word “bāshir” ( بَاشِر ) as “fondle” or “embrace” as in the example on Sunnah.com.

Except the word “bāshir” ( بَاشِر ) from this word specifically means to have sexual intercourse. This is confirmed in the Quran, as seen in 2:187.

[2:187] Permitted for you is sexual intercourse with your wives during the nights of fasting. They are the keepers of your secrets, and you are the keepers of their secrets. GOD knew that you used to betray your souls, and He has redeemed you, and has pardoned you. Henceforth, you may have sexual intercourse with them, seeking what GOD has permitted for you.

Even early scholars, like Ibn Qutaiba, confirmed this was the correct understanding of the Hadith.

Ibn Qutaiba even goes further and states:

“In fact, there is no Sunnah or a verse from the Book [Quran] that prevents a person from having intimate relationships with his wife, who is on her menses and she puts on her izar. It is only among the scholars of Magian who reprove having intimate relationships with their menstruating wives.“

Only if Ibn Qutaiba had spent more time studying the Quran rather than propagating and defending these disgusting Hadith would he have made such a ridiculous statement.

[47:24] Why do they not study the Quran carefully? Do they have locks on their minds?

Funny enough the above Hadith even contrdicts the Hadith itself:
