وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ ابْنُ، حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ، اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ تَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلاَ تَحْتَبِ فِي إِزَارٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلاَ تَأْكُلْ بِشِمَالِكَ وَلاَ تَشْتَمِلِ الصَّمَّاءَ وَلاَ تَضَعْ إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْكَ عَلَى الأُخْرَى إِذَا اسْتَلْقَيْتَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Jabir. b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not walk in one sandal and do not wrap the lower garment round your knees and do not eat with your left hand and do not wrap yourself completely leaving no room for the arms (to draw out) **and do not place one of your feet upon the other while lying on your back.** Sahih Muslim 2099d \ ***

وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الأَخْنَسِ - عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَسْتَلْقِيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَضَعُ إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Jalbir b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: **None of you should lie on his back and place one of his feet upon the other.** Sahih Muslim 2099e \ ***

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَضَعَ - وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ يَرْفَعَ الرَّجُلُ إِحْدَى - رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى - زَادَ قُتَيْبَةُ - وَهُوَ مُسْتَلْقٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ ‏.‏

Jabir said: **The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) forbade that a man should lie, placing (and according to Qutaibah’s version: “should raise”) one of his legs over the other.** Qutaibah’s version adds: When he was lying on his back. Sunan Abi Dawud 4865 \ ***

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Abbad bin Tamim, from his paternal uncle, that **he saw the messenger of Allah (ﷺ) lying on his back in the Masjid, placing one leg on top of the other.** Sunan an-Nasa'i 721 \ ***

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَضْطَجِعُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، رَافِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى‏.‏

Narrated \`Abbad bin Tamim's uncle: **I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) lying-down in the mosque and placing one leg on the other.** Sahih al-Bukhari 5969 \ ***

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏.‏

'Abbad b. Tamim reported from his uncle that he saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) **lying in the mosque and placing his one foot upon the other.** Sahih Muslim 2100a \ ***

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مُسْتَلْقِيًا، وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى‏.‏

Narrated the uncle of \`Abbas bin Tamim: **I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) lying on his back in the mosque and putting one of his legs over the other.** Sahih al-Bukhari 6287 \ ***

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى‏.‏ وَعَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ كَانَ عُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ يَفْعَلاَنِ ذَلِكَ‏.‏

Narrated Abbad bin Tamim: that his uncle said, "**I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) lying flat (on his back) in the mosque with one leg on the other.**" Narrated Said bin Al-Musaiyab that Umar and Uthman used to do the same. Sahih al-Bukhari 475 \

Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) forbade that a man should lie placing(and according to Qutaibah’s version: “should raise”) one of his legs over the other. Qutaibah’s version adds: When he was lying on his back. Sunan Abi Dawud 4865\ ***

حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَلْقِيًا - قَالَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ - فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏.‏

‘Abbad b. Tamim quoted his paternal uncle as saying that he had seen the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) lying on his back in the mosque according to Qa’nabi’s version) placing one foot over the other. Sunan Abi Dawud 4866\ ***

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى ‏.‏
