*The word فَيُبَاشِرُنِي means then he had sex with me, and not he fondled me.

حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ، كِلاَنَا جُنُبٌ‏.‏ وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُنِي فَأَتَّزِرُ، فَيُبَاشِرُنِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ‏.‏ وَكَانَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ إِلَىَّ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ، فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ‏.‏

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to have sex with me. While in Itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ خَلِيلٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ـ هُوَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ـ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا، فَأَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يُبَاشِرَهَا، أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَتَّزِرَ فِي فَوْرِ حَيْضَتِهَا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا‏.‏ قَالَتْ وَأَيُّكُمْ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ كَمَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ‏.‏ تَابَعَهُ خَالِدٌ وَجَرِيرٌ عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ‏.

Narrated Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad: (on the authority of his father) Aisha said: "Whenever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) wanted to have sex anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an Izar and start fondling her." `Aisha added, "None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet (ﷺ) could."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ وَهْىَ حَائِضٌ‏.‏ وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ‏.‏

Narrated Maimuna: When ever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) wanted to have sex with any of his wives during the periods (menses), he used to ask her to wear an Izar.

'A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us (amongst the wives of the Holy Prophet) menstruated, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked her to tie a waist-wrapper over her (body) and then he had sex with her.

'A'isha reported: When anyone amongst us was menstruating the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked her to tie waist-wrapper daring the time when the menstrual blood profusely flowed and then had sex with her; and she ('A'isha) observed: And who amongst you can have control over his desires as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had over his desires.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُنَا فِي فَوْحِ حَيْضِنَا أَنْ نَتَّزِرَ ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُنَا وَأَيُّكُمْ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ ‏.‏

'Aishah said; The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) would ask us in the beginning of our menstruation to tie the waist-wrapper. Then he would have sex with us. And who amongst you can have as much control over his desire as the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) had over his desire?

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا حَاضَتْ أَمَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ تَتَّزِرَ ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا ‏.‏

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "If one of us was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would tell her to put on an Izar (waist wrap) then he would fondle her."

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، وَاللَّيْثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، مَوْلَى عُرْوَةَ عَنْ بُدَيَّةَ، - وَكَانَ اللَّيْثُ يَقُولُ نَدَبَةَ - مَوْلاَةُ مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ إِذَا كَانَ عَلَيْهَا إِزَارٌ يَبْلُغُ أَنْصَافَ الْفَخِذَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ ‏.‏ فِي حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ مُحْتَجِزَةً بِهِ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Maimunah said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would fondle one of his wives while she was menstruating, if she wore an Izar (waist wrap) that reached halfway down to the middle of her thighs or to her knees." In the narration of Al-Laith: "Being covered with it."
