Believe vs. Witness
In the Quran, ุดูููุงุฏูุฉ (shahada) signifies something that can be witnessed, while ุบูุจ (ghayb) signifies the unseen. These two words represent opposites. Shahada involves witnessing something evident, observable, and present. It requires direct knowledge and experience of the subject matter. Conversely, ghayb refers to what was not seen. This can be because it is beyond human perception, hidden from view, or unknown. It encompasses all that lies beyond the realm of sensory experience.
Just as one cannot shahada (witness to) the ghayb (unseen), one cannot witness what is inherently unseen or beyond human comprehension. This paradox is akin to the impossibility of a four-sided triangle. A triangle, by definition, has three sides, and introducing a fourth side nullifies its identity as a triangle. Similarly, attempting to witness the unseen contradicts the essence of both concepts, as witnessing requires visibility and presence, while the unseen is defined by its absence and hidden nature.
In essence, shahada and ghayb are mutually exclusive; one pertains to the known and observable, while the other pertains to the unknown or hidden, making it impossible for them to overlap or coexist in the same context.
This is why, in the Quran, regarding matters of faith, God commands the believers to "believe." The Quran consistently indicates that it is the responsibility of the righteous to โbelieveโ in Godโs messengers. Not once in the Quran does God tell us to that believers are required to bear witness to the messengership of any messenger.
[2:177] Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in GOD, the Last Day, the angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully, to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveling alien, the beggars, and to free the slaves; and they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they keep their word whenever they make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution, hardship, and war. These are the truthful; these are the righteous.

[4:136] O you who believe, you shall believe in GOD and His messenger, and the scripture He has revealed through His messenger, and the scripture He has revealed before that. Anyone who refuses to believe in GOD, and His angels, and His scriptures, and His messengers, and the Last Day, has indeed strayed far astray.
