  1. Jesus is not God

Per Matthew

Matthew 4:10 (Jesus tempted by the devil )

[10] Then Jesus said to him, "Begone, Satan! for it is written, `You shall worship the Lord your God

James 1:13 (God cannot be tempted )

Let no one say when he is tempted, 'I am being tempted by God,' for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one

Matthew 5:17-20 (Jesus advocated for the strict upholding of the Law) this includes Shema

[17] "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. [18] For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. [19] Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 6:24 (Can't serve two masters)

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Matthew 7:26

[26] And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;

Matthew 10:24

[24] "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master;

Matthew 10:40

"He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.

Matthew 11:27

[27] All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Matthew 12:50

[50] For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother."

Matthew 19:16-20

[16]And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?"

[17] And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments." [18] He said to him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, [19] Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." [20] The young man said to him, "All these I have observed; what do I still lack?" [21] Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

Matthew 20:20-23

[20] Then the mother of the sons of Zeb'edee came up to him, with her sons, and kneeling before him she asked him for something.

[21] And he said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him, "Command that these two sons of mine may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom." [22] But Jesus answered, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?" They said to him, "We are able." [23] He said to them, "You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father."

Matthew 22:35-40

[35] And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him. [36] "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" [37] And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. [38] This is the great and first commandment. [39] And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. [40] On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

Matthew 23:9

[9] And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. [10] Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ.

God does not change, yet Jesus was born, hungered, was tempted, was afraid, was transfigured, grew up, and died
