Why have you forsaken me?
In the following passages it claims that Jesus made the following statement upon the cross, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?')." If this was part of God's plan, and Jesus was God then this statement would be contradictory. Firstly, why would Jesus call out to himself? Secondly, why would he say God has forsaken him, if he was God?
Matthew 27:46:"About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?')."
Mark 15:34: "And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?')."
