Jesus authority comes from God
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
John 17:2:
"For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him."
John 5:26-27:
"For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man."
John 3:35:
"The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands."
