Intro

Roughly 1400 years ago, individuals committed a horrendous crime and added two false verses to the end of Sura 9 (Barã’ah), verses 128 and 129.

[9:128] There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you [i.e., your guidance] and to the believers is kind and merciful. [9:129] But if they turn away, [O Muḥammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allāh; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."

God, being All-Knowing, already warned the followers of the Quran of such deliberate schemes in the preceding verse to which they added these two false sentences.

[9:127] Whenever a sura was revealed, some of them would look at each other as if to say: “Does anyone see you?” Then they left. Thus, GOD has diverted their hearts, for they are people who do not comprehend.

Later generations attempted to hide this fact, but it is God's system that He will make the truth prevail.

[8:8] For He has decreed that the truth shall prevail, and the falsehood shall vanish, in spite of the evildoers.

This is because falsehood lacks roots, while a statement of truth has infinite resolution. When dealing with matters of truth, the more in-depth one goes to ascertain facts, the more consistency is found in what is unpacked. Falsehood, on the other hand, falls apart under the slightest scrutiny, and the deeper one goes, the more inconsistencies are brought to light. The Quran provides the following parable between truth and falsehood.

[14:24] Do you not see that GOD has cited the example of the good word as a good tree whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches are high in the sky? [14:25] It produces its crop every season, as designed by its Lord. GOD thus cites the examples for the people, that they may take heed. [14:26] And the example of the bad word is that of a bad tree chopped at the soil level; it has no roots to keep it standing. [14:27] GOD strengthens those who believe with the proven word, in this life and in the Hereafter. And GOD sends the transgressors astray. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.

As detailed in this set of findings, including 9:128-129 as part of the Quran is riddled with contradictions and inconsistencies. The more one studies the subject, the more the anomalies pile up, proving that these verses were falsely added to the Quran and that a false history was fabricated to build legitimacy for their inclusion.

Not long ago, most Muslims were oblivious to the fact that there were slight variations to the text of the Quran known as qira'at. They vehemently denied any differences between the Quranic manuscripts, and the scholars, knowing that this was not the case, were not forthcoming to clarify this for their congregations. Today it is widely accepted that there are multiple qira'at of the Quran. Ironically, now the Muslim ulama states that there are ten authorized variations of the Quran and that they are all valid despite the clear contradictions of such an assumption.

Today, the history regarding how 9:128-129 was falsely added to the Quran is also not well understood by the Muslim masses, and again, the Muslim ulama are willfully apprehensive from being forthcoming with their followers about this. Yet, this dam will eventually break as well.

Preemptively, scholars are making claims stating that even though 9:128-129 did not meet the requirements of mutawatir, it should be accepted because it was included in the canonized mus’haf of Uthman. God in the Quran warns us of such blind following of the past generations and scholars.

[37:69] They found their parents astray. [37:70] And they blindly followed in their footsteps. [37:71] Most of the previous generations have strayed in the same manner.

[9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

[41:40] Surely, those who distort our revelations are not hidden from us. Is one who gets thrown into Hell better, or one who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you wish; He is Seer of everything you do.

[2:170] When they are told, “Follow what GOD has revealed herein,” they say, “We follow only what we found our parents doing.” What if their parents did not understand, and were not guided?

These findings will show that the inclusion of 9:128 and 129 was not part of the original Quran revealed to the prophet but an addendum added to the Quran that was canonized into the text after the prophet's death. To expose this crime and reestablish the truth, we will investigate the history, linguistics, and preservation mechanisms that shine a light on this matter.
